Thirty three residents have nominated for these positions, and eight are also mayoral candidates.
The mayoral candidates are (in order as they appear on the ballot) current councillor Kathryn Bell of Taree, current deputy mayor David West of Brimbin, Tony Galati of Johns River, current mayor Paul Hogan of Taree, Bob Smith BM of Harrington, Peter Epov of Strathcedar; current councillor Alan Tickle of Black Head and Craig 'Diceman' Huth of Taree.
Five mayoral candidates are heading 'groups', while three, Craig 'Diceman' Huth, Tony Galati and David West are independent, or ungrouped.
The groups are:
A: Kathryn Bell, Brenden Summerfield, Dick Quirk, Richard Crook
B: Peter Epov, Bruce Robertson, Kerry Anderson, David Rankin, Jenny Michael
C: Paul Hogan, Trent Jennison, Robyn Jenkins, Tim Deverell, Michael Kent
D: Alan Tickle, Susie Rack, Brian Buckley, Walter Vanderpoll
E: Bob Smith, Joan Hall, Debbie Douthie, David Levy
F: David Keegan, Paul Lewers, Christine Gibbons, Bryan Clancy
Independent, or ungrouped, candidates are (in ballot order) Nawal Maharaj, Brad Christensen, Mike Hudson, Diceman Huth, Tony Galati, David West and Alex Cosway.
You may vote in one of two ways - for a group above the line, or for individual candidates below the line.
If voting above the line for a group, you place the number 1 in the box of your choice. You can vote for additional candidates in order of preference but it is not necessary. If you choose to vote below the line you must nominate at least four candidates to make your vote valid.
The separate mayoral ballot requires you to nominate your prefered candidate with the number 1.
Pre-poll voting is now underway in the former Commonwealth Bank building in Victoria Street, Taree.
