Both qualified for the world titles held in Victoria last year, where Kye was a member of the winning Australian junior team. The world titles will be in America in 2016.
However, Kye has turned 17 years and is now in open company. This will be his first competition in the division.
The challenge will involve three events - trick, slalom and jump. Kye took part in the challenge against New Zealand last October in Perth, where the Kiwis prevailed.
Kye and Makala have both been training on the Manning, usually every second day.
Makayla is 14-years-old and still has three years in the juniors.
