About 8.30pm last Friday night (December 5) highway patrol officers were conducting speed checks at Nabiac.
A male driver was checked on radar travelling at 171kph in the 100km sign posted area.
When stopped the 27-year-old from Gregory Hill in Sydney stated that he had just purchased the vehicle from Queensland. He was issued a fine of $2252 and his driving rights were suspended for six months.
About 8.45pm the same night a 36-year-old male driver from Batemans was speed checked at 125kph in the 100km sign posted area at Nabiac.
Police discovered he was a red provisional driver (P1) not wearing P plates, however his licence had been suspended in November 2014 due to his loss of demerit points. At the time he was driving a vehicle which was unregistered and uninsured and he had changed his address and failed to inform the RTA.
He was issued a fine of $436 for the speed, $623 for driving an unregistered vehicle, $623 for driving an uninsured vehicle and $104 for not notifying his change of address.
Then at about 4.20pm Saturday afternoon (December 6) a highway patrol officer was conducting speed checks on the Pacific Highway at Moorland.
A 17-year-old male from Erskine Park who was a red provisional licence holder (P1) was detected travelling at 128kph when his maximum lawful speed is 90kph.
He received an infringement notice for $815 and his licence was suspended for three months.
