Kevin Ballard is amazed at the generosity of the Movember crowd that gathered at the Harrington Hotel on Sunday, November 30.
"Funds have now been tallied and the total figure is $2045.55," Kevin said.
This almost doubles the amount raised last year and can be attributed to the support of Vicki and Brian Lambert who received many donations from generous local businesses for the raffle and arranged for Justin Standley to attend this year's fundraising event.
Justin Standley travelled to the Manning Valley from Victoria and added his talent to the fundraising efforts.
Justin is an Australian country music singer-songwriter and entertainer and a 2014 Starmaker finalist. He shot to national prominence after appearing as a Top 12 finalist on the Australian X Factor in late 2012 on a quest to find his children. Many musicians put their weight to this worthy cause for funds for men's health. The line-up at Harrington Hotel featured The Last Train, Jay Davis and Justin Standley.
Adam Nixon at Harrington Hotel has been a strong supporter of this event for many years and this year was no exception, with additional funds donated by Adam from bar takings, and Movember t-shirt sales designed by Chris Nesbitt boosting the overall takings.
Sally Breyley, Sarah and Deakin were relentless ticket sellers and Lexi, the accomplished hairdresser, was responsible for removing the moes.
