So reported Toni Bell in the Manning River Times on December 9.
“One home on One Tree Hill, Tallwoods was rendered unlivable, its roofing, framework and contents strewn over about 100 metres across the road and down the hill. Fortunately the residents weren’t home at the time and houses on either side were left relatively unscathed,’’ the report continued.
The storm caused extensive damage to many homes while trees were blown over or stripped. It hit about 6.30pm and lasted between 20 minutes and half an hour.
