The Night Bazaar will be held on Saturday, November 29; a showcase of the Manning Valley's capabilities from music to gourmet foods, take-away snacks to fine dining, art, homewares and fashion, performers and plenty of Christmas gifts.
More than 30 market stalls will feature as well as live music from Taree High School students, Taree City Youth Band, a Bollywood dance performance, a fashion parade and busker performances.
Night Bazaar has been organised by a group of local volunteers who wanted to re-invigorate the centre of Taree at night, in the manner of many of the great city markets.
It was formed under the banner of Tidy Up Taree Inc and grew out of a public meeting held in June.
On the Saturday night, Victoria Street between Manning and Pulteney Streets will be closed to traffic from 2pm as the main street is transformed into a dynamic new cultural and vibrant space.
