The seven piece band were one of the standout acts at the recent Wingham Akoostik Festival.
Wingham Chronicle journalist Sam Brownrigg praised their performance, who said they were 'the surprise band of the weekend and one to watch for the future.'
Lead singer and songwriter Holly Clayton was born in Taree and while she grew up in Newcastle, her family always revisited the area.
"My sister and I have spent a lot of time in the area, as on weekends the family would go on trips to the Manning," she said.
The reaction the band received from the Wingham crowd after their standout set at the Akoositk Festival thrilled Holly and her band mates.
"It was great and we were blown away, we couldn't believe how well we were received and we'd love to go back next year," she said.
Their set also caught the eye of one Australian music great.
"We played before Grace Knight's set, and we had just finished our set and were watching her and she asked my sister and I if we would like to sing with her during her last song," she said.
"She's a bit of an idol of mine, and I had tears in my eye, it was a special moment for me."
Holly Who will head into the studio soon to record new music, after releasing their debut self-titled EP in April.
They promise to be one of the highlight acts of tomorrow's Lakeside Festival Forster-Tuncurry.
And for those who may not have seen the band before, Holly describes their sound as an exciting mix of styles.
"We're a little bit of pop, some rock and roll and a whole lot of soul," she said.
"The Rolling Stones meets Motown for a date with Fleetwood Mac."
