The Taree resident celebrated his 100th birthday with family and friends on Sunday, enjoying lunch at Taree West Bowling Club.
His two granddaughters and only grandson made the trip from Brisbane to help Les celebrate his special milestone.
Born on October 26, 1914 in Sydney, Les spent most of his life living in his home city before relocating to Taree in the mid 90s.
Hazel Ragen was one of those who shared Les's special day, having played an important part of his life in Taree.
Hazel has helped to bring Les his meals over the last 15 years volunteering for Meals on Wheels.
She said it was a privilege to have met such a wonderful person.
"I'm honoured to know this man, he is definitely a loving, caring man," she said.
