Mr Bromhead paid a visit to Old Bar as part of his electorate tour.
The community meeting was attended by members of the Old Bar Beach Sand Replenishment Group, who addressed their concerns to Mr Bromhead.
Among the issues raised was the proposed offshore reef, beach access, the potential implementation of the revetment wall, the planned retreat, and Greater Taree City Council's responsibility to address errors in their action plan.
Sand replenishment group president Elaine Pearce voiced her concerns to the State MP during their meeting at the Old Bar Tennis Club.
"My concern is getting Dr Shaw Mead's response to the Water Research Laboratory's (WRL) review,'' she said.
"Everyone is saying to us that you can't have the reef because the WRL said it wouldn't work.
"Dr Mead did the feasibility study which the community paid for, and we want the errors and mistakes addressed that he pointed out in the review."
The passionate president said she also brought up the issue of sand tracing with Mr Bromhead.
"I discussed with him the sand tracing system and where council are at with it in regards to their progress," she said.
"Will the sand tracing system give us an indication of the movement of the sand? I don't think it will."
Old Bar's Robyn Higson queried the process of deciding which offshore option would best protect the beach.
"I asked him why they aren't considering the offshore reef and why can't we ask questions of the Coastal Review Panel," she said.
Mrs Pearce said at the end of the discussions, Mr Bromhead said he would have talks with Minister Stokes and would ask why Office of Environment is not allowing a response to Dr Mead's statement of errors and misstatements in the peer review.
