Larkin is one of four debutants named in the side.
A Taree West junior, Larkin is a right-handed opener who plays for Sydney University. He played under-age representative cricket for Country NSW. The 24 year-old also holds an Irish passport, courtesy of his grandfather, and has spent the last two winters in Ireland, where he represented the men in green in two List A matches against Sri Lanka A. Having missed out on selection for the Irish squad that is currently in New Zealand ,he is still hopeful of scoring enough runs to make the Ireland World Cup squad.
Larkin, has also represented the NSW 2nd X1 and Futures League teams.
He is the third Manning player to represented NSW in Sheffield Shield following Johnny Martin and Aaron Bird.
Like Larkin Bird also played junior cricket with Taree West before moving to Sydney.
