POLICE are searching for a man who went missing on the Lansdowne River near Taree on Saturday.

About 6:30pm, Saturday, 34-year-old Linc Moore left his house in Coopernook to attend a function in Lansdowne.
Mr Moore left his house in a small tin boat to travel along the Lansdowne River but never arrived at the function.
Police were notified about his disappearance just before midday on Sunday and commenced a search of the river with the assistance of the Marine Area Command and SES.
The tinnie was later found by Mr Moore’s family drifting along the river but there was no sign of him.
The search of the river is continuing and police urge anyone with information about Mr Moore’s whereabouts to contact Taree Police or Triple-000 immediately.
He is described as having a tanned complexion, about 160cm tall with a solid build, dark hair and was last seen wearing a red life jacket, a light orange shirt, blue shorts and work boots.

Meanwhile, NSW Police reported a number of incidents in the Port Macquarie and West Haven on Saturday.
Duty officer Inspector Mick Aldridge said a black Honda CRV was reported stolen from a driveway in West Haven overnight.
Police are still investigating the incident.
Meanwhile Inspector Alrdrige said the inaugural KewFest at the Kew Country Club on Saturday was incident free.
At 10.30am on Saturday three vehicles were involved in a collision near the roundabout on Lake and Jindalee roads.
No injuries were reported despite one vehicle requiring a tow truck.
About 6pm on Saturday an accident was police attended the scene of an accident where an elderly driver crashed into a car driven by a 34-year-old woman on Clarence Street.
Inspector Aldridge said the elderly driver attempted a u-turn at Munster Street and ran into the woman's vehicle.
The woman reported a sore wrist and knee but did not require hospitalisation.
The elderly driver was issue an infringement notice.
