The Ability Links program has been launched with people placing their hand prints on a banner to symbolise a community where everyone is valued and has their unique part to play.
Ability Links Mid North Coast Linker Bonnie Kedwell was pleased with the community's response to the program launch.
"We had about 50 people come along to put their hand prints on the banner, even a dog put their paw prints on it," she said.
"The idea with the hand prints is it represented linking the community."
Local Aboriginal artist and Biripi Elder Joan McDonald helped to guide the creative process, and Aboriginal linkers from Booroongen Djugun Taree also hosted an artwork stall.
Ability Links enables people with a disability to access all of the same community resources and opportunities that people without disabilities access every day.
