The preparation for State titles is a year long process with riders competing at various BMX facilities around Australia gaining valuable skills, technique and experience. This year's competition has helped prepare these riders to compete aggressively at the championships.
Some riders have done it before, for some it's their first time. For many, it's about defending their 2013 plates.
For a small club, Manning Valley has a solid representation at State level with half their current riders qualifying. Many of these riders will be advancing from State titles to compete at the BMX National Championships in April 2015 in Queensland.
Manning riders competing this weekend are Jet McQuillan-McConville, Oran Shepherd, Levi Moran, Jack Shepherd, Riley Watson, Robert Shepherd, Natasha Robinson, Oliver Moran, John Wright, Jessica Robinson, Gary Heagney, Alex Elliott, Bruce Ritter, Malcolm Smith, Luke McGilvray, Aaron Single, Emily Nicholson, Ashley Nicholson, Nathan Single, Julie Single, Luke Meier-Smith, Jayden Chambers, Remy Meier-Smith, Harrison Chambers, Sonny Easter.
