It was October 2004 and 19-year-old Christopher Haggarty had moved from his Taree home to Sydney to study at The Fashion Design Studio.
A few weeks after the interview, and only months into his studies, he landed his dream job as a fashion designer.
But it wasn't long before his career took another turn.
After working as a fashion designer he found himself becoming more obsessed with styling and the idea of dictating the trends as opposed to designing them.
He went on to study fashion business at FBI Fashion College while making the bold move into fashion styling and blogging.
Ten years on, he is now the editor of Men's Style Report.
Based from Sydney, MensStyleReport.com prides itself on covering both the local and international men's style trends.
"The collections published are edited to show the key trends that will eventually work their way down to the everyday consumer," Christopher said.
"It's designed to be extremely minimal, highly visual and make the awareness of the forthcoming trends available to the everyday man."
As well as editing Men's Style Report, Christopher works closely with brands as a creative consultant and continues to work as a stylist and creative director.
He styles celebrities (including Paris Hilton), runway shows, campaign and editorial shoots.
Having become equally as recognisable as the celebrities he dresses, he's often featured on the other side of the camera, modelling in various shoots and making cameo appearances in various television shows and movies.
Most recently France's most popular reality show Angels Of Reality featured Christopher in their season, filming him at his office, consulting with fashion brands, at model castings and on location styling a campaign shoot.
Now the unofficial face of Australian men's style, Christopher is a regular on the Sydney social scene and a front row fixture at Fashion Week.
His fashion commentating, trend dictating and notorious outlook on style, has gathered him a massive following.
He is frequently seen on all the fashion blogs, profiled in newspapers and seen on television, most recently on ABC's 7.30 in an interview about the blog, on The Huffington Post MBFWA best dressed list and was recently shot by The Sunday Telegraph's Sunday Style Magazine.
He also contributes and is frequently published in numerous blogs and leading publications including Vogue.
