The community is invited to visit Valley Industries on September 5 between 10am and 1pm to meet many of the employees and to see the diverse range of professional business services that operate from the site.
Valley Industries human resources officer, Renee Gilbert says more than 130 workers work within the numerous Valley Industries businesses that operate from the Whitbread Street site. Nature's Care Nursery, Complete Grounds Care, Valley Secure Document Services, Valley Bee Keeping Supplies and the timber products manufacturing division are on site and the employees are keen to assist people to tour the various work areas and provide an insight into their work.
The Valley Industries open day is an annual event, according to Mrs Gilbert, and its purpose is to provide access to prospective clients and their families and to give the community the opportunity to see what the employees do and contribute to the Manning Valley community.
The aroma of freshly cooked sausages will waft around the grounds as the workers will host a free sausage sizzle during the three hour event.
Mrs Gilbert says the open day forms part of the Valley Industries Spring Spectacular.
She says Nature's Care Nursery will be the focus of the event that runs from September 4 to September 7, with great specials in the large nursery to celebrate the arrival of spring. It will also host a barbecue and have a jumping castle between 10am and noon.
