Police have charged a man over numerous alleged offences including aggravated robbery and malicious damage, after he was stopped in Taree on Tuesday, August 5.

About 4.30pm (Tuesday 5 August 2014), officers attached to Manning/Great Lakes Local Area Command stopped a black Audi sedan travelling along the Pacific Highway at Wang Wauk, about 40km west of Forster.
Police will allege the car was stolen from a home on Short Street, Berkeley, about 11pm on Monday August 4 2014.
The 26-year-old male driver of the sedan and a 27-year-old female passenger were arrested at the scene and taken to Taree Police Station.
The man, from Unanderra, was charged with aggravated robbery, fail to pay for petrol, steal motor vehicle and a number of unrelated offences including malicious damage by fire and breach of bail.
He was refused bail, to appear at Forster Local Court today (Wednesday 6 August 2014).
The woman was released pending further inquiries.
