Two men have been charged after firearms and drugs were seized during a police operation in Taree.

Police from the Target Action group arrested the men, aged 20 and 25, after they were seen in Commerce Street, Taree, about 4.45pm Tuesday.
The younger man – who was wanted for breach of bail – was searched and police will allege drugs including MDMA and cannabis were found in his possession.
A car belonging to the second man was also searched with police allegedly finding methylamphetamine.
During a subsequent search of a home, also in Commerce Street, five firearms were seized: three .22 calibre bolt action rifles and two air rifles; a cattle prod was also seized.
The 20-year-old man has been charged with supply and possess prohibited drug and was bailed refused to appear in Forster Local Court on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old man was charged with ongoing supply and possession of prohibited drugs, and possession of the firearms in aggravated circumstances and was granted conditional bail to appear in Taree Local Court on Tuesday, August 12, 2014.
