The Tops received widespread snow coverage of two to three inches from Cobark through to west of Polblue.
Unlike the icy conditions that caused chaos the previous weekend, the snow coverage and freezing temperatures meant the roads were in better condition allowing for a steady flow of traffic through the area.
With an average temperature of zero degrees and 30km/h winds for much of the weekend, visitors braved the chilly conditions for an opportunity to see snow.
The Gloucester Visitor Information Centre had 416 inquiries over the weekend regarding the snow on the Tops.
“It was absolute mayhem but it’s what you expect at this time of year,” tourism manager Wendy Hughes said.
With the improved road conditions, the number of inquiries was down from the 474 received the previous week.
The National Parks and Wildlife Service is still advising people to use four-wheel drives when travelling to the snow.
