Each of East Perth, Swan Districts, Subiaco and East Fremantle has six games remaining.

Subiaco, currently third, have the toughest run home, having to play all three of the other sides currently in the top four.

The Lions are one game from second spot and has a better percentage than the second-placed Swans.

They were pretty good on the weekend though, in beating West Perth by 25 points - leading at every break.

Kyal Horsley is leading from the front and had 26 possessions, six inside 50 entries and nine tackles.

Wayde Twomey, Chris Phelan, Shaun Hildebrandt and Simon Moore all had plenty of the ball.

Shane Nelson and Rohan Kerr continue to be prolific ball winners for the Falcons, while Chris Keunen did his lion's share of the work in the ruck, with 15 touches, 34 hit-outs and a goal.

East Perth showed it is going to be tough to beat though.

The Royals had the fewest number of West Coast players for the season (six) and still beat East Fremantle by 28 points. The difference was just three points at the last break though.

And those Eagles that did play - Jamie Bennell, Jame Cripps, Josh Hill, Malcolm Karpany, Fraser McInnes and Sharrod Wellingham - contributed and all added to the scoreboard. They kicked 10.9 of East Perth score of 14.20.

Terrific signs for the Royals is that Craig Wulff (36 possessions) and Brendan Lee (28) were also very good, while Paul Johnson handled the ruck with ease in the absence of Callum Sinclair and Scott Lycett.

East Fremantle was a lot cleaner in front of goals - Robert Young the best with 5.1.

And they had their share of the ball, with Bradd Dalziell having 34 touches and Rory O'Brien 29.

However, they managed only 33 inside 50 entries to the Royals 61.

Peel Thunder took a step closer to moving off the bottom of the table with a two-point win over Claremont.

The Tigers will be ruing missed chances in their score line of 9.18.

The Thunder failed to kick a goal in the first term, but made up for it with 5.1 in the second - the Tigers had 3.13 on the board at the main break.

Jon Griffin continued his fine recovery from a knee reconstruction and had 17 touches and 38 hit-outs, while Jacob Ballard impressed again with 33 touches and a goal.

Matt de Boer's return from injury is also gaining momentum. He had 31 possessions on the weekend.

No Luke Blackwell, no Claremont? Maybe. Although Ryan Neates still had 37 possessions and Thomas Ledger 25.

Perth is the team in danger of falling to the bottom of the ladder.

The Demons are just percentage ahead of the Thunder after their 12-point loss to South Fremantle.

Again, goal scoring was an issue - Perth having three more scoring shots the Dogs. While Mitch Morton booted 5.2, Paul Bevan's 0.5 hurt.

Equal league leading goal scorer Ben Saunders booted 6.0 for the Dogs.

Haiden Schloithe was again good with 30 touches and Shaun Bewick 29.
