It was Laura's first time entering the tri series event and it started well in Nabiac where she was crowned U8 Bends Champion.
After placings in just about every event she entered, Laura's accumulative points set her apart by the end of the competition.
She was awarded the Judith "Topsy" Dixon Perpetual Trophy in Wingham on Saturday - a trophy awarded for the highest point score for a registered Australian stock horse and rider over the three rodeos.
"I'm stoked for her," said mum Nerida who also credits new stock horse Copy.
Nerida only purchased Copy on July 1 from John Parish of Gloucester.
John has owned Johns Copper Quest since he was a foal and he said he couldn't believe Laura's success on the 15 year old chestnut gelding after only a week of riding him.
"It's a beautiful horse," admits Nerida.
Laura won nearly $200 in prize money over the three events and Nerida said the young Tinonee Public School student has been working out what to spend it on.
"She can't get the smile off her face," she said.
Laura's brother Nate also competed in his first Glowalman this year and according to Nerida he rode well.
As Nate celebrates his sister's success this year, his mum told them both it could be very different next year.
"It's the nature of the game," she said.
"They have to get used to the highs and the lows."
