Few people associate a museum with daily life. But that's just what Cundletown Museum is doing - keeping the memories of yesterday alive, and looking to the future.
You live history every day!
As part of its commitment to current and future visitors, Cundletown Museum is busily raising funds for the construction of a large shed to accommodate some oversize items of great local interest.
A former milk truck, lovingly restored, drays, sulkies, ploughs and harrows are some of the of the larger items promised for public perusal if the shed can be built.
With much grant searching and generous donations, the Cundletown Museum is looking to turn the sod very soon.
But it just needs that little bit more community spirit and support to gain momentum.
So it has decided to reach out by blending music with history and staging a 'Raise the Roof' variety concert.
On Sunday, October 26, from 1.30pm, Cundletown School Hall will be alive with the sounds of music for all tastes. Rock and roll, pop, choral, country and dance will feature in a musical fundraising tribute. Many artists are willingly giving their time to entertain with their musical skills to see history come to life - a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
