On behalf of Patti and I we were both shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Craig Huth.We would like to pass our sincere condolences to Craig's partner Christine and his family, also to all staff at 2RE.
Craig has been an outstanding member of our community and special reference to his fundraising work for the Manning Hospital.

From State member for Myall Lakes, Stephen Bromhead
Vale Craig Huth. It is with much sadness that I heard the news of the passing of Craig Huth. Craig was quite literally a larger than life personality who could fill a room with his booming voice that was so perfectly suited to his on-air work.
Craig interviewed me hundreds of times since my election in 2011. He never backed away from asking the tough questions, or raising the difficult issues. As a true journalist, Craig was close to his audience and instinctively knew what information they wanted. In this process Craig was always objective, never personal and would often say to me how much he enjoyed our engagements.
Craig's off air persona was also large. His fundraising capabilities are almost beyond comparison, whether they be in support of the large public charity drives such as his Christmas Road Train for Manning Base Hospital, or for smaller and equally important personal events in which he participated as a Master of Ceremonies and supporter.
Personally, I will miss Craig very much and I am reminded of the words spoken by Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother at the passing of her husband, King George VI: cry because he has gone, but smile because he was here.
Rest in peace, Craig.
From federal member for Lyne, David Gillespie
It is with much regret that we acknowledge the passing today of Mr Craig Huth, a pillar of the Manning Valley.
Mr Huth, through his popular and highly regarded programs with 2RE Radio, informed and entertained the community with aplomb and distinction.
More than this, Mr Huth went out of his way to engage with people from all walks of life and promote the region in positive and productive ways; he also gave his time and energies to charity work, including the Christmas Road Train where he helped raise funds to support the Children's Ward at Manning Hospital in Taree.
He has been a real contributor.
And always the professional, Mr Huth’s reputation for fairness and polish preceded him; he regularly interviewed dignitaries, as recently as his discussion on 2RE with the Prime Minister of Australia.
Mr Huth will be sadly missed, by many.
