News came through this week that Greta Workers Club's appeal against disqualification was turned down by the board of the Royal NSW Bowling Association.
Greta comfortably won the Zone Six flag, beating Wingham in the final played at Maitland City. However, it was later discovered that Greta fielded two players who were ineligible. The two players skipped rinks.
Greta then unsuccessfully appealed to the Royal NSW match committee before going to the board.
The State board discusssed the matter last week and informed Zone Six president Bruce Elliott of their decision on Monday. Mr Elliott has since contacted the Wingham club.
Wingham will now have two representatives at the State playoffs to be contested on August 9 and 10. The club will also be represented in the number two grade to be played at Port Macquarie.
Fellow Manning club Tuncurry will contest the number ones.
