HASTINGS Choristers' resident conductor, Robyn Ryan OAM will be the guest conductor for the John Rutter Requiem to be performed in Taree at St John's Anglican Church at 2.30pm on Sunday June 22.

Robyn Ryan was awarded an Order of Australia medal in 2002 for services to music in the Hastings community and music education.
After a lifetime of working for the NSW Education department as teacher, senior executive and music consultant she now is a freelance musician in demand for conferences, eisteddfods, accompanying, marking and master teaching.
In her private studio in Port Macquarie specialises in piano and voice performance practice and aural skills.
Robyn is a choral specialist and teaches conducting at Xavier College Melbourne each January for the Australian Choral Conductor Education and Training Summer School.
At home she conducts two community choirs Cantorus and Cantabile as well as two youth choruses Bel Canto and Allegro at Tacking Point Public School where she teaches for three hours each week.
She assists with U3A singing group and is involved in liturgical music in St Agnes Parish in Port Macquarie.
Training the Glasshouse Youth Chorus for the forthcoming Oz Opera production of Magic Flute in August is Robyn's newest project and she looks forward to the 24 children being onstage with professionals.
Much of her work is pro bono fundraising for mainly cancer charities.
Robyn has enjoyed working with the lovely voices of Kantabile on the requiem and eagerly anticipates the concert weekend.
