Bitou bush spraying at Crowdy Head

GREATER Taree City Council staff and members of the Mid North Coast Weeds Co-ordinating Committee will be conducting aerial spraying of Bitou Bush again this year from June 10 to 12, weather-permitting.

Some areas around the Crowdy Head headland, including the helipad area and access to some fishing areas, will be blocked off during the important spraying period.

Pedestrian and vehicular beach access will be restricted and signposted during the spraying periods.

The spraying of the glyphosate herbicide is scheduled to be completed on the same day, taking about three hours.

The area is restricted until signs are removed.
