Saturday, June 2, 2007: WINGHAM’S Central Park was abuzz as more than 4000 people gathered for the Bonnie Scottish Festival family fair.
Described as an ‘incredible success’ by one of the organisers, Warwick Murray, the event ‘exceeded all expectations.’
He said at one point people could not get a car park any closer than the Wingham Town Hall.
More than 180 attended the Wee Dram Cocktail Party on Saturday night which led into the Grand Highland Ball which featured the haggis ceremony.
About 70 people attended the thanksgiving service on Sunday morning, led by festival president Eric Richardson OAM and enjoyed breakfast on the banks of the river.
