The Manning Valley community has always supported the Cancer Council's Biggest Morning Tea initiative and this year will be no different.
Today (May 22) is the official day for the morning tea, however events are held throughout May and some of the local events include:
MAY 22: Today Centrepoint Cafe, in Centrepoint Arcade Taree is hosting a Biggest Morning Tea. Enjoy their special cakes and have a cup of tea or coffee with 10 per cent of takings and all tips for the day being donated to the Cancer Council (May 22 only).
MAY 24: Taree Show Society will host a Biggest Morning Tea at the showground. The event will start at 9am and feature a car boot sale as well as other attractions including raffles, a guessing competition and a trading table. For further information contact Kay on 6552 4056.
MAY 25: Oxley Island Hall is the venue for a Biggest Afternoon Tea from 2.30pm. For further information contact Angela Watt on 6553 2514.
Taree AFL Auskick Centre will host a morning tea from 10am until noon at Johnny Martin Oval in Taree. For further information contact Julie McLachlan on 0456 196 744.
MAY 28: Lansdowne Public School will host a Biggest Morning Tea from 11am. The morning tea will be held in the school library and everyone is welcome to attend. Please bring a small plate and a gold coin donation.
Kimbriki Craft Group is holding a Biggest Morning Tea from 10am in the Burrell Creek Community Hall.
