The Pirates have a couple of injury worries while fullback Daniel Morris was due to face the judiciary last night. Lock Jake Wheeler is unavailable.
"I haven't named the side yet,'' Russell said yesterday.
"I have an idea what it's going to be, but it will depend on fitness and who turns up for training.''
The Pirates opened the season with a 34-12 loss to Macleay Valley at Kempsey. Old Bar trailed 22-0 at halftime but turned in an improved effort in the second half.
Russell said there were some positives to come out of the game.
However, he added that Kempsey is an intimidating place to play. He's been there plenty of times in the past when he was with Group Two club Sawtell.
Sunday's game will be Russell's first at Old Bar Reserve.
He hopes there's no more rain between now and Sunday.
"It's a bit worse for wear after the rain we had last weekend and this week,'' he said.
"We don't want any more.''
