THE reigning superstar of Australian powerboat racing, Troy Marland, is expected to dominate Taree Powerboat Club's Easter Classic.

Marland will have double duties this weekend. He'll drive his Blown Alcohol Displacement (BAD) boat Madness along with the family owned 6 litre injected racer, Sick Puppy. Injury forced Marland to miss last year's classic. In 2012 he won every major championship on the Easter program.
Practice will start on Good Friday with racing from 10am on Saturday and Sunday.
Best spectator vantage points are Endeavour Place near the Manning River Rowing Club and Queen Elizabeth Park on the bridge side of Taree Aquatic Club.
The pits will be a restricted area during racing but will be opened at the completion of each day's program.
While most other sport will be in recess during the Easter weekend there will be some action in Greater Taree.
Ben Marron will look to defend his Manning River Open golf title at Taree on Saturday and Sunday. The Taree club will have four day's of competition starting on Good Friday. A total of $4000 worth of trophies will be distributed over the program.
Taree Greyhound Club's Easter Carnival will conclude on Saturday afternoon.
A bumper crowd is expected at Wingham Showground for the inaugural Manning Madness Professional Bullriding event. More than 40 of Australia's best bullriders will be in action.
Promoter, former professional bullrider Pete Farley, hopes to make this an annual event.
A little to the north and Wauchope Jockey Club's Tooheys Barney Avery Lasiandra Cup meeting will be run on Monday.
