Valley Industries rally to raise cash for farmers

VALLEY Industries employees recently rallied to raise funds for farmers struggling to endure the impacts of drought.

The Weekend Sunrise Dollar4Drought Campaign inspired staff to dress in country clothing for a day and organise fundraising barbecues at two Taree locations, Valley Skills for Life in Elizabeth Avenue and Valley Industries head office in Whitbread Street.

Dollar4Drought Campaign supporters could buy a sausage sandwich for $1 and were also given the opportunity to make additional donations. The event on March 27 raised $405 and the money was recently donated to the campaign co-ordinators, The Salvation Army to fund food and produce vouchers for drought-affected farmers in NSW and Queensland.
