At a function held recently at 2BOB's studios, they were presented with certificates of appreciation by Andy Colvin, Manning Media chairperson.
Andy personally thanked them for their contribution to the station as on air presenters and as volunteers.
"They leave big shoes to fill and will be sorely missed at 2BOB," Andy said while wishing them well with their studies, he said
All three were students at St Clare's High School and started at 2BOB Radio hosting School's Out before going on to present other programs.
George Blattman was the first of the trio to start, completing 2BOB's training course in June 2010 to then host School's Out before becoming the Monday Drive n Home presenter. He got into production work at the station, doing voiceovers and producing the weekly Roads and Highways Report.
Last year he completed the CMTO Cert. 3 in Media Studies at 2BOB, and conducted interviews with candidates for the Lyne electorate in the lead up to the 2013 federal election.
Over this summer, he was a relief presenter for both the Breakfast and Midday Magazine programs.
George, who leaves to undertake a degree in political science, arts and policy studies at Canberra's ANU, thanked everybody at 2BOB and expressed his appreciation "for everyone's help, time and friendship".
Riley McCann completed his training at 2BOB in late 2011, and then went on to host School's Out from January 2012 to January 2014.
During 2013 Riley was a regular presenter of World Beat, as well as filling in on Drive n Home, Midday Magazine, AM Music and the Breakfast programs..
Before moving to Sydney to begin studying psychology at Macquarie University, Riley said "a massive thank you to everyone at 2BOB for the last two and a half years, it's been fun, interesting and always a great learning experience."
Sam Elsing also completed his training at 2BOB in late 2011 to then host School's Out from January 2012 to January 2014. As well as volunteering at the station, Sam presented The Sound Lab and filled in as a Drive presenter when needed.
On leaving to study Asia Pacific relations and economics in Canberra at the ANU, Sam also thanked everyone at 2BOB who had helped and welcomed him and his two colleagues and "for all the effort with us - it's been a magnificent experience and we are all eternally grateful."
Can you help fill these big shoes? 2BOB is keen to train young people and high school students as on air presenters and is conducting an information evening at the station on Thursday, March 20 at 5.30pm. For more details, call 2BOB on 6552 6200.
