Even though the surf was small competitors managed to find enough waves to put points on the score sheets. Cody Miggins, Mathew Wynter and Bobby Frith were the standout surfers on the day.
New grommet surfers Luca Saunders and Patrick Moses were put to the test by brother and sister Mack and Lucy Green. All grommets had fun with their zeal for surfing clearly on display.
At the business end of the day Ben Dunn was the winner of the A-grade final with Bobby Frith, Ryan Hunt and Ben Wynter filling the minor places. B-grade was won by Brian Hughes from Matt Wynter, Chris Green and Chelsea Green.
The next contest for Saltwater Boardriders will be held on Sunday, April 6 at 7am. All surfers meet at Old Bar Beach car park.
