WET weather did not discourage Friends of Browns Creek (Crooked Creek) members from making a determined effort to Clean Up Australia and Tidy Up Taree (TUT).

Ten keen volunteers braved wet weather on Sunday to remove several tonnes of rubbish from the railway cutting under Crescent Avenue.
The group was hoping to take home one of the TUT awards.
Spokesperson for FoBC (CC) Tammy Whyte said "the effort put forward by our team must surely place it in a good position to win the inaugural the King TUT Award!"
"Most people would not even realise remnants of the old railway to the Manning Cooperative Dairy Factory still exists," she said.
"A lot of rubbish is thrown over the edge, and other people use it as a meeting place for all sorts of activities."
Coles Manning Mall rewarded the hard work of the FoBC (CC) members with a nice morning tea/luncheon.
