Organised and funded by Dairy NSW it was held when a few farmers felt there needed to be something done as the drought started to take hold.
A number of guest speakers covered topics such as sourcing hay and fodder, managing finances and mental health issues, including what to watch out for and what to do if you think someone has depression.
Natasha Yarrington from Dollys Flat, who was among those who helped organise the event said a few service providers who weren't even involved in the day attended to show the farmers they are supporting them through this difficult time.
Feedback from the participants was that it was beneficial to talk to others in similar situations and know they are not the only ones experiencing these difficulties.
"It's not the easiest thing to admit you're struggling financially and that times are tough," said Natasha.
"When everyone is openly doing it tough it can help."
