The Plan B drink driving campaign is about making positive choices to get home safely after a night out, highlighting that driving is not an option.
The campaign promotes alternative transport options to empower drivers to make the choice not to drink and drive. The campaign aims to contribute to an overall reduction in the road toll, and to reinforce the awareness of random breath testing.
"The Plan B campaign has once again been fully supported by members of the Manning Valley Liquor Consultative Committee," Chris Dimarco, council's road safety officer, said.
"Promotional resources including, bottle bags, beer carton stickers, staff t-shirts, posters, and footpath signage, will be provided to promote the Plan B message.
"Greater Taree City Council, Manning Valley Liquor Consultative Committee, the Roads and Maritime Services, and Manning-Great Lakes Police, are all working together to ensure that all residents and visitors have a safe festive season," he concluded.
