AN elderly woman reversed her car into a shop front in Manning Street, Taree, this morning.

Emergency services including the police, fire, ambulance and VRA Rescue attended the scene.
It appears the car has reversed, clipped the corner of brickwork on the exterior of the Hunter Arcade, knocked over a steel handrail and mounted the stairs before coming to rest in the doorway of Taree Eyewear.
No one was walking along the footpath at the time and the driver has not been injured.
Members of the public gathered around the accident site but were quickly moved on by authorities in attendance.
The car has now been towed.
