Nothing has changed but the name on the door at itravel taree and itravel forster from Monday, October 21.
The travel agencies' 18 year history starting as Manning Travel in 1995, under the ownership of Karenne Norling, who soon realised the value of being part of a buying group/franchise aligning with Traveland shortly after.
That group ended with the demise of Ansett on 13 September 2001, when many from that group were approached by the then newly formed Travelworld. That was 12 years ago.
Recently the publicly listed JTG group, who has umbrella ownership over most of the retail travel agency names you know, suggested the group of six branded agency names, band under one name. This hasn’t been accepted well, seeing many move to other groups, hence Taree and Forster now have two nearly renovated very bright and funky travel agencies in itravel taree and itravel forster, sporting its new corporate colours of bright green and white. If you haven’t driven past the Taree agency yet, you won’t miss it – don’t forget your sunnies.
Manning Street in Taree is buzzing with the new look itravel taree on the river side of Best and Less and the new business/real estate agency to Manning Street, Ray White Reality also sporting up to the minute décor. The empty Go Lo store is also be refurbished at the moment awaiting a new well known, big name tenant, completing and filling Manning Street – it is certainly be busy Manning Street.
