FLATHEAD are starting to run up in numbers in the Manning.
They are being caught from the walls at Harrington and Manning Point, the breakwater at Harrington, Chinaman's Point, up river to Croki and in the Lansdowne River.
A couple of 6kg fish were caught in the Lansdowne.
Small jew are also being taken on plastics in the lower part of the Lansdowne River.
Luderick are still on the bite from the wall at Harrington and up around Chinaman's Point.
Bream are fairly scarce with the best catches being made by nighttime anglers using floating baits of bonito.
Not much is happening on the beaches due to the cold water, but as this is pushed away by the warm water coming down from the tropics then the fish will move in on the beaches.
Good catches of snapper have been made by boat anglers with a fish of 9kg being landed off Old Bar.
There are some flathead to be caught but they must be searched for as the schools of fish are scattered.
