STILL counting. The poll for the seat of Lyne is still to be officially declared as electoral officials continue to count pre-poll votes but the good news is that 92,053 had been counted as of September 24.
Lyne voters had 78 booths in which to cast their vote and according to divisional returning officer, Vicki Frost "it's quite inevitable David Gillespie is the member for Lyne", however she could not declare the poll until set criteria are met.
As of yesterday The Nationals David Gillespie had secured 64.8 per cent of the vote on a two-party preferred vote with Labor's Peter Alley claiming 35.2 per cent with a swing of 2.3 per cent to The Nationals.
