THE Bulahdelah War Memorial Reserve Trust has been shortlisted as a top 10 semi-finalist in the NSW Government Crown Lands Crown Reserve Trust Community Managers Category for the 2013 NSW/ACT Regional Achieve ment and Community Awards.
This annual awards program provides an opportunity for community groups and volunteers to showcase their commitment to their communities, through the upkeep and preservation of NSW Crown Land and be recognised state-wide.
The Bulahdelah War Mem orial Reserve Trustees were appointed in February 2011 and have progressed a program of rejuvenation of the reserve which has included a focus on men's health; renovating the memorial hall for exhibition readiness and by engaging the community in researching and staging three Anzac centenary commemorative exhibitions/ producing the publication "WW1 Heroes from Bulahdelah" and establishing a community communication via Facebook.
The three award finalists will be announced after September 19.

The reserve is planned to be the centrepiece of commemorations on Anzac Day 2015 with the establishment of the Anzac Memorial Gardens/War Memorial monument; dedication service; commemorative exhibition encompassing all wars and conflicts and a community breakfast.
The semi finalists will be reviewed and the three finalists of the NSW Government Crown Lands Crown Reserve Trust - Community Managers Award will be announced after the official judging day held on Thursday, September 19.
The finalists will be presented at the Gala Presentation to be held at the Newcastle Leagues Club on Saturday, October 26, where the winner will be announced and awarded with $5,000 thanks to the Commonwealth Bank.
