BLOOMING orchids fill the Uniting Church Hall today, the final day of the Manning River Orchid Society Spring Orchid Show.
With the excellent warm climatic conditions the orchids have bloomed very well and as a result there is an amazing display of flowers, especially the Australian native style, president Rob Wells said.
The Orchid Society of NSW judges were very pleased with the quality of the display presented for consideration.
There is a vast array of flowering orchids and orchid equipment available for purchase.
The grand champion of the show and winner of the Jobson Memorial Trophy for the most successful exhibitor was Mal Myers, continuing his run of success with a Paphiopedlum Norito Hassegawa.
The reserve champion of the show was Old Bar grower, Col Beetham with an Australian Native Dendrobium 'Nice One'.
Full results will be published in the Manning River Times next week.
