Rovers now advance to the grand final in Taree in a fortnight. Rovers were relentless in attack as they unleased a dazzling brand of football that had the crowd on their feet. The Sharks to their credit never gave up and scored several tries throughout the match but were no match for the classy Taree team who cruised into their fifth grand final appointment in as many years.
All the Rovers played outstanding with Toby De Stefano one of the best, scoring four tries and in just about everything, while Jake Hazard lead by example scoring a superb individual try and pulling off some bone jarring tackles.
Not far behind them were Nathan Napier, Connor Swannack, Callum Wesley, Dallas Clark and Travis Sommerville while Jeremy Murphy and Ty Allan made plenty of metres up..
Trevor Davis and Jacob Hammond worked well in the centres while Callum Riley and Jayden Clarke were tough up front. Zac Baker, Chris Grant, Caleb Kattelus and Rory Mitchell all had great games. The Rovers coaching staff were satisfied with the performance as they look forward with the boys to a home grand final in a fortnight. Point scorers were, tries to Toby de Stefano 4, Callum Wesley 2, Jake Hazard, Travis Sommerville and Nathan Napier, with goals to Callum Wesley 5 and Jake Hazard 2.
