ABOUT 1200 people visited Craftathon Craft Show at Taree PCYC over the weekend.
Saturday was the busiest day, with smaller numbers on Sunday enjoying the relaxed atmosphere.
A survey at the front door revealed that visitors travelled from Port Macquarie, Wauchope, Forster and Gloucester, with more than 100 visitors coming from Sydney and other far reaching destinations.
The workshops were well attended and craft supply stalls were very well patronised.
The knitting competition attracted happy competitors on both days, and five craft hampers were given away as lucky door prizes.
On Sunday the Taree Historic Motor Club set up an amazing display of their beautiful vintage cars outside the PCYC entrance, and they were delighted with the level of interest shown by Craftathon visitors, with women showing just as much interest as the men.
At the end of the show many exhibitors showed their approval by paying deposits to secure their sites for next year's event.
