It is also a chance to pay tribute to the commitment of dedicated community members who dreamed that the theatre was a possibility for Taree and went about making it happen.
They took their vision for the entertainment centre, raised funds, rallied support and reached into their own pockets to make it a reality.
Performers who have been confirmed for the concert are Taree Arts Council, Manning Valley Choral Society, performer Natalie Alexopoulos, actor Shannon Dooley, pianist and composer Andrew Chubb, cellist Michael Bardon, performer Georgina Saad, musician and songwriter Matt Zarb and singer Nikki Bennett.
Contributions are also coming from various local dance schools, including Studio 1 Performance Centre, Carmens School of Dance, Andrea Rowsell Academy of Dance, Kerrie Renee Dance Studio, and more.
Audience members will also have a chance to hear some stories from the four men who have managed the Manning Entertainment Centre since its establishment, as Don Macinnis, Arthur Deacon, Mike Collins and Jeremy Miller all take the stage throughout the evening.
July 25 is 25 years to the day since then State premier Nick Griener officially opened the theatre.
Next Thursday, celebrations will kick off with a live broadcast by ABC Mid North Coast local radio presenter Michael Spooner.
The public concert in the evening begins at 8pm.
Tickets are available from the Greater Taree City Council website, or from Movies, Games and More in Victoria Street, Taree.
