"It's incredible to be there."
The 11-year-old, who was accepted into the program in January, has made a couple of visits to Melbourne to so far, and is preparing for another six days in the first week of next term.
Bonnie has attended the Andrew Rowsell Academy of Dance for the past six years.
"I just enjoy it. I don't know how to explain it. It just comes to me," she said.
She loves to dance and can often be found dancing through the kitchen and up the stairs at home.
But while it's lots of fun, Bonnie loves to learn more and said her time in the program has really helped her a lot with her work and her technique.
She's also had the chance to meet lots of new people and train in the same rooms that members of the Australian Ballet use.
In other exciting news, Bonnie has successfully auditioned for the Hunter Performing Arts High School and will attend from next year.
Her family has made the decision to relocate to Newcastle to give her the opportunity.
She is a current student of St Joseph's Primary School in Taree.
Bonnie dances every day and learns jazz, character, contemporary and classical (her favourite) with various teachers.
"Miss Andrea is really good. All the teachers are really good."
For eisteddfods she learns solos in these styles as well as demi-character and modern expressive.
At this year's Taree and District Eisteddfod she won the classical championship for her age group (which meant she danced in the grand concert) and was also awarded the Most Promising Local Dancer by the adjudicator.
More recently she competed in the Coffs Harbour Eisteddfod and won the classical championship and all her other dances, except for the 2nd she received for her demi-character, and highly commended for her modern improvisation.
She was also the 12 years aggregate point score winner, attended the scholarship class, came first in the classical scholarship, and was invited to perform at the grand concert.
Bonnie is in the level two part of the Australian Ballet School program.
"But if you're not from Melbourne and go for the week you get to do level three as well."
Although only young, Bonnie already has big dreams for her future.
"I'd love to be a dancer and a professional ballerina."
