CAR rally action will return to the Manning Valley this Saturday with the running of the inaugural Tour of Knodingbul.

Based at Mt George, the rally will cover 90km of competition over six sections, entirely on Knodingbul Forest Road, regarded as one of the best forestry roads in the State.
This is a new format for the event, three stages going up Knodingbul, with the competing crews turning around at the top and then tackling the stages in the reverse direction.
“This is something we have never done before,’’ event director Chris Cherry said.
Seventeen entries have been received, and with around 10 top flight crews from NSW taking part, it will be on!
Locals Scott McCloy in his Datsun Stanza and Peter Neal in his Subaru WRX will start at cars four and six respectively and are expected to perform well in their back yard.
The event will be based at the Mt George School of Arts with pre-event preparations starting from 1pm, the first car will start from the old mill site at 5.45pm. The first car due back around 8.45pm.
Spectators have been catered for with instructions available at the hall, the spectator point will be at the corner of Knodingbul Forest Road and Dingo Tops Road with the first car due at 6.37pm and again at 8.20 on the reverse run.
