THE NSW Coastal Panel will re-visit Old Bar next month to continue its assessment of the Meridian Resort's application to construct coastal erosion protection works.
The Times contacted the Office of Environment and Heritage yesterday on behalf of Meridian's owners' corporation, and received the following reply from a departmental spokesperson:
* Submissions have closed and more than 30 submissions have been received. We are currently considering the submissions.
* The NSW Coastal Panel met in Old Bar on Monday March 11 to inspect the site and give preliminary consideration to the submissions.
* The Panel intends to meet again in Old Bar in early April. At this time there will be an opportunity for those who made submissions to discuss their submissions with the Panel.
* The NSW Coastal Panel is expected to make its decision as soon as possible after this.
