An average of 142 millimetres of rain has fallen in the Manning River catchment in the past 60 hours to 6am today.
The good news is that the rain has eased in the last nine hours.
The Gloucester River at Gloucester has fallen below minor flood level.
The Manning River at Wingham peaked near 9.4 metres at 2am Sunday with moderate flooding.
Moderate flooding is current at Taree, where the river level was 3.12 metres and close to its peak at 7:15am Sunday.
