WET weather conspired against the Manning A-grade cricket semi-finals.
There was no play on the first day of either match at Johnny Martin Oval or Cedar Party Reserve at Wingham following heavy rain.
Cundletown defeated Leagues in the major semi at Johnny Martin Oval to progress to the grand final in a fortnight. This will be Cundle's third successive grand final appearance.
Leagues will now take on Wingham in the final next weekend.
The minor semi between Wingham and Taree West at Wingham finished in a draw, Wingham advancing to the final as they finished higher on the competition ladder.
There was no play in the major semi until 1.15 on Sunday.
Cundle captain Anthony Turner won the toss and sent Leagues into bat. Matt Kennewell and Lawrie Weeks added 12 before Weeks was out for five, falling to Michael Couch.
Kennewell was on 11 when Scott Saunders picked him up leaving Leagues at 2/25. Will Donovan and Josh Meldrum took the score to 53 before Saunders caught and bowled Donovan for 21. Mark Chicken and Meldrum moved the score to 73, with Meldrum making the most of an early life by hitting two big sixes. Chicken was out to Danial Stone for five then Meldrum fell for 31 making the score 5/82.
With the score at 93 Kennewell declared, giving Leagues two hours to try and bowl Cundle out.
Saunders was the pick of the bowlers taking 3/28.
Cundle openers Stone and Josh Ferris gave the innings a good start in the run chase, adding 45 before Stone was out for 21 off Reece Whitton's bowling. Whitton then bowled Campbell for one and Cundle were 2/62.
Donovan then sparked a mini collapse when he bowled Nathan Currie and dismissed Saunders for 0 to leave Cundle 4/87. However, Cundle overhauled the score in the 19th over four down. Ferris continued his bright form to remain 58 not out.
