Pirates frustrated by visa delays

10 Feb, 2012 12:00 AM
OLD Bar Pirates president Lee Hinton admits his club is frustrated by the continuing delays captain-coach Matt Everett is having in securing a working visa.

Everett, from England, has been playing in New Zealand.

Old Bar signed the five-eighth last year but he is yet to arrive in Australia because of the delay in securing a visa.

"We were hoping it would be all sorted by now,'' Mr Hinton said.

"All we can do is wait.''

The Pirates have started training with last season's coach, Jason Morrissey running the sessions.

The Pirates also held a registration day for all grades including the women's league tag yesterday.
